FAQ

(FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT THE PROJECT)

How can I (& my dog) take part on the project?

At first, show your interest by sending us an email.

You can see the pricing plans which contain the special prices for the first participants.

We will guide you and we will give you additional info if you wish.

What photos of my dog can I send you? Do you have special photo requirements?

Well, if you decide to be part of the project, it will be great if you send us two photos of your dog. The quality of the photos doesn’t really matter. Use your camera or your mobile phone. We just want to know how your dog looks like.

Will it take long for the portrait to be completed? After how many days will I receive my file?

The average time is five business days, depending on our work flow. But don’t mind, in our first mail contact we will let you know the exact time you will receive it!

What type of file will I receive?

I will send you two .JPG files.

• A high resolution file, which will be great for printing.

• I will also send you a smaller, square  version file for the social media, which will be fine for instagram, facebook etc.

What about the dog’ s name?

In fact, I follow a specific pattern for writing the names on the portraits. I mix the dog’s name and the surname of the dog’ s owner. If your dog’s name is “Flox” and your surname is “Werner” then the name written on the portrait will be “Flox Werner”. The concept is that your dog is a member of your family. But if you have another idea about the name you want to be written, please let me know!

How can I receive it?

The best way is by Email. You can download it in the -real size- high resolution, which will be better for the quality standards.

What can I do with the .JPG file you will send me?

Whatever you may like! you can print it as a poster, framed or unframed, print it on a mug, T-shirt, tote bag etc. You can also upload it to Facebook, Instagram, pinterest and other social media. Generally, you can do it whatever you want!

Who can print it for me?

For posters and frames, you can visit your local print shop or photo-printing company. All of them have digital printing machines. You can find them in every neighborhood. For printing Tshirts, mugs, tote bags, hats etc. you can find great online companies like spreadshirt.com or spreadshirt.co.uk for high quality standards, and many more.

I would like to have a version of the portrait without the background! Is it possible?

Sure, if you need a .PNG file without the background, please let me know, and I will send it to you.

Is it going to be published a “hipster dog” book? If yes, can my dog be a part of it?

Yes! But it will take some months to be completed. There will be a selection because it is difficult for us to include all the portraits, but if you are interested to participate, please let me know and I will send you more information about the book project.

Who is the founder and creator of “My Dog is a Hipster” project?

Stelios Kalogerakis, is the illustrator and you can see some more info about him in the “About” section of the page, and all around the web, if you search for him. He will personally take care of each dog portrait.

I don’t want to take part on the project but I like what you do and I want to donate. Is it possible? Is it something I can earn by donating?

You can press “donate” button on the main menu and make your donation. We would appreciate it deeply, and we will be glad to send you as a gift, a high resolution file of our favourite “trademark” dog Flox Rohnson (you can see the portrait in our main page). Feel pree to print it as a poster, Tshirt, Mug, or whatever you may like.
